Cornell & Gollub
Cornell & Gollub was founded by Robert W. Cornell in 1964 with the objective of specializing in the then-emerging fields of product liability and medical malpractice, as well as premises liability, general tort defense, and other areas of technical litigation. At the time of the firm’s founding, Mr. Cornell had already established a reputation as one of the leading trial attorneys in the defense bar. In the same year, he was joined by Karl L. Gollub. Mr. Gollub tried cases throughout the Commonwealth, including the landmark product liability case of Back v. Wickes which has been cited in hundreds of subsequent decisions. In that tradition, Cornell & Gollub continues to defend major civil cases in the fields of product liability, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, consumer protection, insurance, general liability, mass tort, class actions and commercial litigation.
